Do I practice directly on the Notta Cookie itself? You certainly can. Wipe off royal icing and start again, or simply rinse airbrush color away with running water.

Alternatively, for an easier cleanup, you can place simple white paper coasters on top of the Notta Cookie and swap them out as you go.
