A lightweight engineered mesh was used in the upper for breathability and flexibility, with just enough protection. The shoe utilizes New Balance's most propulsive performance foam: FuelCell.
The 996v6 improves the lockdown through the heel and forefoot for streamlined performance. And the Ndurance outsole adds durability to complement the comfort provided by FuelCell. Fit

This shoe runs short. We recommend ordering a half size up 6-Month Outsole Warranty Width: 2E (Wide) Upper: Reengineered mesh for a lightweight, breathable, and supportive experience tailored specifically for tennis players. A traditional tongue features 'wings' to keep you locked in place (essentially a half sleeve).
A PU Medial Guard protects the toe. Insole: An Ortholite Insert ensures underfoot comfort and security. Midsole: FuelCell technology runs through the full length of the shoe and offers the brand's highest energy return and propulsion to date.
A top-loaded shank ensures torsional stability. Outsole: The non-marking, NDurance rubber compound enhances durability in high-wear areas of the shoe. The FuelCell 996v6 features an 8mm heel-to-toe drop.
