Lokta paper is made from the bark of the Daphne Papyracea bush in Nepal. Tree-free, acid-free, naturally insect-resistant and durable. The bush regenerates within five to seven years of harvesting.

Each sheet is hand-pulped, spread on wooden screens, and sun-dried in Himalayan villages. Expect visible plant fibres and slight thickness variations — marks of genuine handmade paper. Unlined pages suit journaling, sketching, and free-form writing.

Rollerballs and fine-tips are ideal; pencil works beautifully; fountain pens may feather slightly.
